The Arabic language is the fifth most spoken language in the world with about 350 million native speakers and more than 70 million non-natives. Arabic is one of six official languages of the United Nations, and it is the religious language of 1.8 billion Muslims, as it is the language of the Quran.
Arabic is spoken in all 22 Arab countries “addual al’arabiya الدول العربية”, which are: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Egypt, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Djibouti, Comoros.
The Arab world (Middle East & North Africa)
The Arab world “Alwatan al’arabi الوطن العربي” is located in Western Asia, Northern Africa, Western Africa, and Eastern Africa, and stretches from Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Arabian Sea in the east, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Indian Ocean in the southeast, with about 436.08 million inhabitants in 22 Arab countries, which are members of the Arab League “Aljami’a al’arabiya الجامعة العربية”.
Each Arab country has its own spoken dialect besides the standard Arabic which is known as “fus-ha فصحى”. Arabic is the official language in all Arab countries. In addition, people in each Arab country have their culture, traditions, and general facial and body features. However, eventually, all Arab cultures and traditions are similar and most Arabs are Muslims.
How to say the nationality in Arabic?
The nationality in Arabic is “jensiye جنسية”. It consists of the name of the country with the letter yaa“ي” added at the end. And if it is a female, you also add a taa marbouta ة ـة -which is the sign on feminine nouns- in the end, for example: “Lebnanyye لبنانيّة“ means a Lebanese woman.

These are their capitals -in the order- starting from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain: Riyadh الرياض, Doha الدوحة, Muscat مسقط, Abu Dhabi أبو ظبي, Kuwait الكويت, Manama المنامة.

Egypt has the highest population in the middle east, which is more than 102 million people.

These countries are known as Arab Maghreb (المغرب العربي almaghrib al’arabi), which is the western part of North Africa and the Arab World. The official languages are: Arabic (Maghrebi Arabic), Amazigh languages, French, Spanish, and others.
In fact, the original people of North Africa are not Arabs at all they are Amazigh “أمازيغ” they speak their own language which is called Tamazight “تمازيغت” however after the expansion of Islam a lot of Arabs from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, and some other countries came to North Africa, as a result, Amazigh people have learned Arabic after they got into Islam besides ” Tamazight ” their original language.
The capitals of these countries -in order- are Tripoli طرابلس, Tunisia تونس, Algeria الجزائر, Rabat الرباط, Nouakchott نواكشوط.
