The first known discovery of colors goes back to the 13th century when the English Philosopher Roger Bacon formed a theory, saying that a rainbow is produced by a similar process to the passage of light through glass or crystal.

Later, in the 17th century, the English mathematician Sir Isaac Newton presented the color wheel when he discovered the visible spectrum of light, and he noted that white light is composed of a variety of colors.
